Postmates has announced that it will be bringing its service to a total of 134 new cities. According to a<a href="https://www.fastcasual.com/news/postmates-adds-134-cities-to-delivery-area-gives-discount-to-chipotle-customers/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=postmates-expands-service-to-134-new-cities-2708223" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none" target="_blank"> recent article in Fast Casual</a>, the expansion marks the company&rsquo;s expansion into over 550 cities across the nation. This equates to roughly 60 percent of the population.

&quot;Unlike other on-demand services, Postmates sees the cities we operate in as our warehouses &mdash; by making every merchant and restaurant accessible through the Postmates app. Our mission is to support local communities through local people delivering goods from local merchants. In 2017, Postmates&#39; fleet earned over $200 million in the U.S. and merchants on the Postmates platform generally see four times the growth in sales,&quot; said CEO Bastian Lehmann.

In order to further incentivize citizens of these new cities to use the app, Postmates is offering a deal on Chipotle orders. The first orders placed in these markets will be eligible for a $4 delivery discount. In order to redeem the deal, they will need to enter the code CHIPOTLE134 at checkout.
