Quiznos names restaurant veteran Doug Pendergast as CEO

Following the resignation of former Quiznos president, Stuart Mathis, the brand has name Doug Pendergast as the new president and chief executive. This announcement came on the tails of major layoffs at the company's Denver-based corporate office. While specifics from Quiznos officials aren't available, we do know that the cutbacks affect all levels and departments. Prior to joining Quiznos, Pendergast served as president and chief executive at Krystal Company in addition to holding the title of executive vice president and chief franchise officer at Church's Chicken. “Quiznos is an iconic brand, known for quality food, chef-created recipes and an innovative spirit,” Pendergast said in a statement. “I am excited to join the leadership team and to help our franchise owners build their profitability, strengthen their businesses and grow the brand for the future.
