Research Report: Amazon Third-Largest Ad Platform in U.S.

Research firm eMarketer placed Amazon behind Google and Facebook.

A research firm found that Amazon is the third-largest ad platform in the United States, just behind Google and Facebook, according to a CNN Tech report.

Research firm eMarketer predicts that Amazon will generate $4.6 billion in U.S. online ad revenue in 2018, according to the article, which is more than the $2.9 billion the firm forecasted in March of this year.

"Its strong handle on consumer purchase behavior sets it apart from Google and Facebook in the digital ad market, which has made the company an attractive option for advertisers," eMarketer senior director of forecasting Monica Peart said of Amazon, according to the CNN article.
