Richmond Biz. Sense: Sandwich shop moving into new VCU dorm

What better place to offer customizable, yummy sandwiches than on college campuses? Probably none.

That’s what Jigar and Reema Patel think, anyways. So, they decided to open up a Which Wich location at Virginia Commonwealth University.

In his interview with Richmond Biz. Sense, Jigar explained his reasonings for choosing VCU as his and his wife’s location.

“I graduated at VCU, and I worked for VCU right after I graduated before moving to the corporate world,” Jigar said in an email. “That is why VCU has been close and dear to us and we have been trying to find a location there for five years now.”

In addition to VCU, the pair plans to one day open more locations in the Greater Richmond area.

“The goal is to have one open in all the strategic locations of Richmond,” Jigar told Richmond Biz Sense. “Hopefully at least four more in the next few years.”

Which Wich currently has 7 locations in Virginia.
