Everett Post: Local Right at Home Franchisee Recognized as Brand's West Region Caregiver of the Year

Phil Goodwill has been working with Right at Home for four years.

Right at Home caregiver Phil Goodwill was recently recognized as the West Region Caregiver of the Year by the company. Goodwill has worked with the Johnston's for four years and during that period, has dedicated himself to helping senior veterans who are often suffering from dementia, PTSD and chronic illness.

"I don't have clients--I have people," Goodwill told the Everett Post. "The people I care for are husbands, moms, dads, sisters. I'm there to make them as comfortable as possible."

Goodwill was a pastor in the community before working for Right at Home, and feels that while his job as a caregiver isn't always easy, it's vital to provide care and companionship to seniors who need help.

"I love my people. There have been times, after I clock out, that I go to their sides and say, 'It's okay. You can go home now'," Goodwill told the Everett Post.

Right at Home franchisee Victoria Johnston says Goodwill is a valued asset and the perfect candidate for the award.

"Phil emulates what the Right at Home culture wants to reflect. He's the right person with the right approach and the right service with a strong heart for the right mission," Johnston told the Everett Post.
