Snow, sleet and freezing rain shut down major roads and businesses in North Carolina, according to The News & Observer. While the majority of businesses were forced to shut their doors due to the weather, places like Right at Home, an in-home care service for elderly and disabled adults, needed to stay open.

Danielle Weaver, the marketing administrator for Right at Home's Wake County location, said the company managed to get caregivers to all of its clients despite the weather.

“We’ve had a couple of caregivers who are staying overnight and are working long hours,” Weaver said.
