With a focus on expansion in the Northeast region, Rochester has become a target area of expansion for Which Wich Superior Sandwiches. The brand hopes to add at least five locations in Rochester before 2017, adding more than 100 jobs to the area.

“The demographics of Rochester 100 percent fit our brand (and) our culture,” Connie Alires, Which Wich director of franchise development, told the Rochester Business Journal. “People there are looking for quality of products. You look at Rochester within a 15 to 20 minute drive there’s four different colleges — we do very well in that college environment.”

Which Wich has always focused on finding franchisees that will not only promote the expansion of the brand but be successful in their efforts as new business owners.

“It’s a business, and absolutely we want people to enjoy a profitable business,” she said. “But if you’re putting people before profits, it’s amazing how the profits follow because you’re doing it for the right reasons. That’s been a huge focus for us, and we want people who get it.”

Which Wich hopes that with the additional locations in the New York market, the base that they’ve created on the East Coast will take on a life of its own, spurring customer loyalty and a household name for the brand based on the unique experience offered and the quality of service guaranteed at every location.
