Next week, members of the franchising industry will come together for the “Super Bowl” of franchising – the annual International Franchise Association Convention. Taking place in Las Vegas between February 24 and 27, the IFA’s annual convention can be overwhelming for both newcomers and veterans alike. That’s why SMB Franchise Advisors President and CEO Steve Beagelman is outlining his top tips and tricks to make the most of the annual convention.

While there are things that franchisors, suppliers and prospective franchisees can all do before and during the IFA’s convention to make the most out of it, Beagelman notes that it’s what happens after the event is over that makes all the difference.

In an article for Forbes, Beagelman writes, “This is probably the most important piece of the puzzle. If you prep properly, engage well, but then come back and bury your head back in the day-to-day of your business, the entire attendance and effort would have been a waste of your time. Schedule out time to meet with your team and debrief, and then put together a plan to follow up and attack all the elements tied to your two to three initiatives.”
