The International Franchise Association’s annual convention took place last weekend in Orlando, and prior to the event, SMB Franchise Advisors president and CEO Steve Beagelman shared his tops for how franchisors could make the most out of the conference with best practices and preparation tips in a recent Forbes column.

Prioritization is key when heading to IFA, as there is too much going on and it's easy to lose focus of why you came in the first place.

“Rank your three most important areas of focus and put a schedule together that allows you to address and gain insights on those key initiatives," Beagelman suggested. "Doing so is the best plan of attack for navigating the overwhelming amount of information available at the four-day event."

Beagelman also recommended utilizing the IFA website to review the program and identify the educational sessions that best apply to your specific situation and goals ahead of the conference.
