Franchise Dictionary Magazine: Digging Into Why Pet- and Veteran-Focused Franchises are Booming

SMB Franchise Advisors' Dawn Abbamondi digs into why these two industry sectors are ripe with opportunity for franchise prospects.

When faced with the prospect of kicking off a franchise search, entrepreneurs are often faced with an overwhelming amount of options. In a recent column for Franchise Dictionary Magazine, Dawn Abbamondi, Director of Brand Development and Marketing at SMB Franchise Advisors, shared her thoughts on how to narrow down franchising choices based on your interests.

Abbamondi focused on two brand categories in particular as she helped prospects break down their search, the high-growth pet sector and veteran-focused brands. If prospective franchisees served in the military or have a passion for pets, they should take account of how their background and interests can serve as a starting point for narrowing down brand choices. For veterans, Abbamondi recommended looking into business ownership opportunities with veterans in leadership positions. For pet lovers, she advised considering brands that center on pet products, services or that solve problems for pet owners in some way, shape or form.

"When you embark on this venture, it is important to find a brand that fits your core values. Be sure to leverage the support of a franchise brand to help you step out of your comfort zone into something that will make you happy and help you live your dreams," writes Abbamondi.
