Like the pet care industry, mobile businesses are gaining popularity due to the flexible model and low investment costs. Dawn Abbamondi, Director of Brand Development and Marketing at SMB Franchise Advisors, shared her thoughts about the rising interest of mobile businesses in the franchise industry in a recent column in Franchise Dictionary Magazine

“Brands in the ‘man in a van’ home and personal services categories are seeing more interest than ever by franchise owner candidates,” said Abbamondi. “Mobile-based businesses offer wide ranges of options, from tech and computer support to home and commercial security. Maybe consider fitness-equipment repair or personal training, bringing workouts to clients. You could offer enrichment programs with fun educational past-times to inspire kids, or think outside the box (I mean, home), and install recreational equipment for children to play in their backyard – both of which give parents a much-needed break.”
