What does new technology, disruptive marketing, cutting edge social media and franchising have in common? The 2016 Franchise Consumer Marketing Conference (FCMC).

From June 21 – 22, hundreds of franchising’s most innovative minds will descend upon the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta for the largest gathering of the most creative and talented marketers in the industry. Covering everything from brand building to the latest technology, the annual event gives marketing executives the chance to discuss and share best practices while learning about the latest products and trends from vendors. Workshops, roundtables, networking, panels and educational sessions will round out the content and allow attendees to walk away with an edge on their competition.

Here’s what you can expect from the 2016 FCMC.

Speaker Lineup
The franchise industry is always evolving. What worked last year may not be what drives consumers to your brand right now. Focused on digital, social and consumer marketing, the FCMC addresses many of the challenges marketers are currently facing in 2016 and beyond.

The conference this year will kick off with concurrent opening workshops about “Crafting the Right Brand Promise,” “Media – Paid, Owned, Earned and Shared,” and Engaging Your Customers Through Their Media Choice.” Panelists driving those discussions will include Terri Snyder, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Checkers* & Rally’s, Heather Briggs, director of marketing planning and strategy for Great Clips*, and Annica Kreider, vice president of brand development for Mellow Mushroom, among others.

The FCMC will feature two keynote speakers this year that will share their vision for marketing and its impact on the franchise industry. Scott Stratten, president of Un-Marketing, will provide his unique perspective on how to effectively market, sell and engage consumers after flipping traditional advice on its head. Curt Steinhorst, founder and president of The Promentum Group, will close out the conference with a discussion about how to craft messages for today’s distracted audiences.

Educational Breakout Sessions
This is an opportunity to learn more about what consumers are looking for from brands and how franchisors can best reach them with the appropriate message at the unit level. These concurrent sessions will include “What Does Mobile in 2016 Mean for my Brand and my Franchisees,” “Public Relations Evolution/Revolution,” and “SEO & Web Development,” among others. Panelists for these sessions will include some of franchising’s leading experts, such as Drew French, CEO and founder of Your Pie, Nick Powills, CEO and founder of No Limit Agency* and 1851 Franchise, and Duone Byars, director of marketing for Christian Brothers Automotive, among others.

Networking
With franchising’s best and brightest marketing executives in attendance, networking is one of the most important aspects of the FCMC. The sponsor networking area is filled with product and service providers offering the latest in technology, tools and products designed to streamline a franchise business. Additionally, time in the sponsor networking area provides attendees with the ability to learn and discuss best practices with their peers.
