Starbucks Mexico Opens Second Spot Staffed by Older Employees
The store will be staffed by employees between the ages of 52 and 66.
Starbucks Mexico now has two locations that will only be staffed by older workers, according to a Fast Casual report.
The second store is located in the Mexican state of Jalisco and will only be staffed by employees in the 52 to 66 age range.
The news comes less than half a year after the brand opened its first store to only employ older workers. That store is located in Mexico City.
"We believe in senior citizens who seek new work experiences,” Starbucks Mexico’s head of human resources Diana Gonzalez said in a statement, according to the article. “We are a multi-generation company that embraces diversity and inclusion, and we are thrilled to continue fostering a well-balanced work environment that includes both young partners and senior citizens."
