The Baltimore Sun: Philly Pretzel Factory Opens First Location in Baltimore
Michael Ward brings on-the-go pretzel franchise to untapped territory with newest loccation
Philly Pretzel Factory has opened its first location in Baltimore.
After more than 20 years of working with General Electric, Michael Ward entered the franchising industry with Philly Pretzel Factory.
Ward opened his first location on Friday in Harborplace downtown in the Light Street Pavilion. He is also planning to open a second location by May 1 in Bel Air.
The chain was founded in 1998 in Philadelphia by college friends Dan DiZio and Len Lehman and bills itself as the nation's largest Philly style pretzel bakery, with 150 locations.
