Supplemental education franchise Best in Class Education Center is eyeing Illinois for development with a specific focus on Bloomington. Director of Franchise Sales Sharon Peterson said the demographics and growth of the area fit what the brand traditionally looks for when seeking new development.

“Bloomington and McLean County are one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in Illinois and that’s really impacting the school districts,” said Peterson. “We also look at the ranking of schools. Whether they’re very far behind or just facing challenges, we have a strong group of individuals who could help make things easier for the districts.”

Best in Class Education Center offers a number of programs ranging from test preparation to writing skills assessments. Those who enroll are assessed in math and English and placed accordingly in classes with six to eight other students.

“The curriculum we’ve developed includes comprehensive plans that prepare students for a lifetime of learning and it’s complementary to what they’re learning in school today,” said Peterson.
