Brian Sacco, owner of TruBlue Total House Care in Charlotte, shares tips for summer home maintenance tasks you should perform before leaving town.

With summer coming to a close, more people are looking to take one final vacation of the season. In an interview with WBTVBrian Sacco, the TruBlue Total House Care owner in Charlotte, discusses summer maintenance tasks that should not be skipped before a vacation. Tips like checking smoke alarms and checking for leaks under sinks can help prevent major damage to your home and save you money in the long run.

“You want to check any basements or crawl spaces where a hot water heater might be,” says Sacco. “Look for any leaks before you leave because those can cause extensive damage, and nobody wants that.”

Sacco discusses other simple ways that homeowners can prevent long-term damage to their homes and provide them with peace of mind before their vacation. The TruBlue Total House Care owner also brings up the importance of seasonal maintenance in homes.
