TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® keeps it in the family
With his father serving as president of the Canadian division of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, Justin Prittie decided at an early age to follow in his father’s entrepreneur footsteps.
His father’s input from his years leading TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® factored in heavily and helped him ace the assignment, Prittie said. Following graduation, Prittie worked with a construction company and assisted the owner in franchising his business. Putting in as many as 80-90 hours a week, Prittie figured he could be investing that much time in his own business. At 22 years old, Prittie went to his father and made an inquiry about the Waterloo, Ontario, location for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. Knowing his son’s work ethic and determination, John Prittie contributed the funds Justin needed to begin his career and add to the success of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.
Almost a year to date, Justin Prittie has not only seen an increase in business but has helped childhood friend, Cotie Drinkwater, begin his own career with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Niagara Falls. Working with the Mikey Network, a heart health charity, has allowed Prittie to donate a defibrillator to his alma mater, Wilfred Laurier University.
How did you learn about the brand?
Well, my father was obviously a huge impact for me about knowing about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. I have been a part of the company since I was 16 working as a mover and driver. I have been fortunate enough to work my way up and have constant support to start my own business.
Why did you choose an opportunity with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® ?
I had a lot of knowledge about the brand, and it is all a learning experience to know how everything worked. My father taught me a lot about the franchise, and I didn’t see as something as difficult.
