TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Breaks Into 47th State with the Opening of its First Location in New Hampshire

As multi-unit franchisees, Alan Oversmith and Joe Turbeville have been helping the largest franchisor in the moving industry enter several new states on the East Coast.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the nation’s largest franchisor in the moving industry with over 380 franchises and 3,000 trucks in operation, is officially coming to the Granite State. After celebrating its nine millionth move earlier this year, the opening of 11 new locations, and the addition of 70 new trucks onto the road in the first half of 2022, the team is thrilled to announce the opening of its first-ever location in the state of New Hampshire.

The franchisees behind the new location are TWO MEN AND A TRUCK veterans Alan Oversmith and Joe Turbeville. Oversmith, who comes from a background in construction, was first introduced to the brand in 2002 when he started working for an acquaintance who owned a few TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations in Michigan.

“I immediately loved the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK brand and the company culture,” said Oversmith. “I saw the massive amount of potential that the business model could bring as an entrepreneur and franchise owner.”

In 2005, Oversmith purchased the Ann Arbor location and began acquiring additional locations around the area as a franchise owner. In 2015, he teamed up with Turbeville, who was working as a franchise business consultant in the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK corporate office, and the two began expanding their portfolio with new units. In 2019, the duo purchased the Boston territory and eventually expanded to another location in Providence, Rhode Island. Now, they are continuing that East Coast expansion with the brand’s first New Hampshire location.

Newly released data from the U.S. Census Bureau found that New Hampshire was the fastest-growing state in the Northeast last year, with a population growth of 0.8%. As more and more residents flock to the area, the demand for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s moving services are only set to grow.

“We were already getting a lot of calls from New Hampshire residents because we are close to the border in Massachusetts, so we had already done out-of-state moves in the area,” said Turbeville. “We felt like if we put the right team members in place, we knew the business would thrive in New Hampshire. Plus, we already have a shared infrastructure and hub on the East Coast, and we saw first-hand the growing demand for moving services. We knew we could fill that void.”

Oversmith says their goal is to bring TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s high-quality and reliable moving services to the people of New Hampshire, focusing on exceptional customer service and eventually ancillary services like storage and junk removal.

“We couldn’t be more excited to enter the New Hampshire market for the first time, and Alan and Joe are the perfect partners to help us do so,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK president Randy Shacka. “They have already introduced the brand to several markets on the East Coast, and now, as the demand for moving services reaches an all-time high, we are ready to continue the momentum and hit new milestones along the way as we get closer and closer to having a presence in all 50 states.”
