Wayne Patch: Mosquito Joe in New Jersey Helps to Protect Area Pets
Local franchisees partner with an animal shelter to raise awareness.
Mosquito Joe* is helping Wayne's less fortunate four-legged friends.
With Heart Worm Awareness month around the corner, Mosquito Joe Franchisees, Bobby Roberts and Elio Chiavola made the decision to partner with the local animal shelter.
Anyone who adopts a pet featured on the township website will spray that person's property for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can transfer heart worms to animals.
"It's a way of protecting pets' health and preventing pets from entering that battle," Roberts said.
Chiavola and Roberts will also collect, match and deliver donations from clients for the shelter. Food, beds, toys and any dog and cat supplies will be accepted.
