For WORKOUT ANYTIME, the secret to effective expansion is targeting business-minded entrepreneurs who want to invest in a fitness franchise. Today, these dedicated franchisees have helped the company grow into a nationwide brand throughout the country. Now, with the help of a few new franchisees, WORKOUT ANYTIME is making headway in Texas.

The first entry into The Lone Star State came with the signing of franchisee John Waskow, whose wife Sara is a franchise owner and consultant for FranNet in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. In her experience working with dozens of brands, Sara recognized the great opportunity WORKOUT ANYTIME presented and insisted her husband look into it. Due to the combination of its simple business model and his passion for fitness, the brand made sense on a practical level. From a professional perspective, Sara knew WORKOUT ANYTIME was new to the market and offered an incredible chance to grow the brand if they got in on the ground floor.

Waskow went on to sign for two locations, and he and hopes to eventually add a few more over the next year. His first club is set to open this May in Princeton, a rural town just east of McKinley—officially marking WORKOUT ANYTIME’s debut in Texas. The location falls in line with the franchise brand’s state-wide growth strategy of targeting small- to mid-sized towns with a minimum population of just 25,000.

“Princeton is a small, traditional farm town outside of Dallas looking to be a little more metropolitan, similar to a lot of area towns that make Texas so ripe for growth,” said Waskow. “It’s definitely an underserved market for retail with only one other gym in town.”

According to WORKOUT ANYTIME Vice President of Development Randy Trotter, Texas is extremely entrepreneurial. The state offers a wealth of prospects with whom WORKOUT ANYTIME can expand, and the brand is lucky to have a consultant like FranNet to connect them.

In addition to her husband, Sara’s guidance also helped to secure WORKOUT ANYTIME’s subsequent Texas deal. Franchisee Kevin Marrs, along with his father Frank, purchased one unit in Flower Mound. The two have come to the franchise from the software industry and are excited to embark on this next chapter as semi-absentee owners--another advantage of WORKOUT ANYTIME’s flexible business model.

The fact that FranNet has been highly recommending the brand to clients is another testament to WORKOUT ANYTIME’s superior model.

“FranNet represents more than 100 franchises, and Sara chose our concept for her husband among others,” said Trotter. “That’s saying something.”

The consulting company works to sell the top and fastest-growing franchises in the system, and WORKOUT ANYTIME is proving to be worthy of that title. On the heels of a powerhouse sales year in 2016, the brand has the capability to launch its listing of 121 nationwide locations to nearly 200 in 2017. With FranNet’s stamp of approval, WOKROUT ANYTIME can carry its Dallas momentum wider into the market, and Texas can certainly expect a rapid boom from the 24/7 fitness franchise.
