Panama City News Herald: "PCB gym partners with veterans organization”

Twenty-two free gym memberships to veterans to help cope with the stresses of transitioning to civilian life

Workout Anytime of Panama City Beach Franchisee and Marine veteran Chris Gately partnered with the Lift for the 22 organization to offer 22 free gym memberships to veterans with the hopes of reducing veteran suicide rates.

Gately and Carter Davis, founder of Lift for the 22, hope that the gym memberships will help veterans cope with the stresses of transitioning to civilian life.

“The military gives you everything, but when that’s shut off, you have to do everything for yourself,” Gately said. “The military treats you differently — you are told what to do. You have to relearn everything on the outside.”

For more information on the partnership visit Lift for the 22 online at www.liftforthe22.org, or Workout Anytime at 12117 Back Beach Road, Panama City Beach, or call 850-708-1247.
