Workout Anytime Takes Home the Bronze Twice at the 2019 Telly Awards

Workout Anytime was the Bronze Winner in the Local TV and Social Video segments.

In the digital age, with its overwhelming amount of information and ads, it’s great to know that standout brands such as Workout Anytime can hold their own with audiences of just about any size.

The fitness brand was honored in May of this year at the Telly Awards for this very reason. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor excellence in non-broadcast video and television programming, as well as excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials. The awards also honor online commercials.

The 24/7 fitness brand took home the Bronze Winner prize in two categories: Local TV and Social Video.

Approximately 12,000 companies applied for consideration in the 2019 Telly Awards Program. Such a competitive applicant pool meant there was no room for mistakes, and Workout Anytime stood up against major players in the fitness franchising sector.

“The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work created within television and across video, for all screens,” according to the Telly Awards website. “Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 [sic] continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.”

These awards are particularly special for the Workout Anytime brand, which takes pride in its consumer-centric focus. To get such major recognition in this particular arena is indeed a momentous event.

“These marketing campaigns featured real Workout Anytime members who have great stories,” said Workout Anytime COO Mark de Gorter. “At Workout Anytime, we provide affordable workout solutions that yield results. We’re honored to provide a high-value service that makes a difference in people’s lives. While we’ve highlighted the stories of four specific members, every one of our clubs aims to help all members find success on their personal fitness journey.”

Asked to speak to the campaign which garnered the brand its Telly Award, de Gorter shared that the particular campaign “was a new one for us, as it was done across different channels, from television spots to social media. It’s great to see these spots performing so well right out of the gate. Everything across the board is focused on our members and the Telly Awards recognition drives it home.”

Four different Workout Anytime customers were featured in the commercial spots, identified simply as Andrew, Greg, Kaylan and Shareese. Each of them had their own unique story about why they joined Workout Anytime and how the brand helped them accomplish their respective fitness goals.

Andrew sustained an accident and refrained from physical activity out of fear it would make his injuries worse. He gained a significant amount of weight and decided he needed to do “something drastic.” He joined his local Workout Anytime gym and got down to business. Not only did he lose weight, but he also strengthened areas that had been weakened by his accident.

For Greg, who is in his 60s, he was “big and wasn’t happy about it,” so he got “serious” and visited his local Workout Anytime center. He asked for a trainer and ended up working with her. He credits his trainer with helping him meet his fitness goals and pushing him to try challenging workouts. He has since lost 80 pounds and increased his strength.

As for Kaylan, she was eager to fit into her “dream wedding dress.” Her workouts included strength training and using the elliptical machine. The result was that the law enforcement worker felt beautiful on her wedding day and also felt confident in herself.

Shareese, a mother of two who has always been very focused on her children, decided she needed to make sure she took care of herself. Since Workout Anytime is a 24/7 facility, she realized she “didn’t have an excuse not to go.” Shareese’s video also featured both of her children, particularly her daughter, whom Shareese lauded for being her nutritionist. She has since lost 30 pounds.

With a customer-centric focus, not to mention major industry recognition from the 2019 Telly Awards, Workout Anytime is well-positioned for continued success.

The startup costs for a Workout Anytime franchise range from $351,300 to $836,500. The franchise fee is $29,500. To learn more about franchising with Workout Anytime, visit https://workoutanytimefranchise.com/.
