Young Ones to Watch: Matthew Ericksen, Director of Sales and Operations for Griswold Home Care

Ericksen spoke with 1851 Franchise to tell us about his journey in franchising, his predictions for the future and his advice for other up-and-comers.

Matthew Ericksen is the director of sales and operations for Griswold Home Care, the non-medical home care franchise with 168 locations nationwide. Prior to joining the brand last year, Ericksen spent more than three years as director of operations leading the startup and growth of a BrightStar Care franchise location in southeast Pennsylvania. Now, Ericksen is utilizing his franchising and health care experience to help grow the Griswold Home Care brand across the country.

“The advice I would have for someone of similar age who is just starting to get into the franchise industry is to never lose sight of what drives you to succeed and what continues to fuel your passion,” said Ericksen. “That focus is going to help you through the toughest of days, make you appreciate the successes you have and help you remain true to your passion and purpose.”
