You could say Will Allen was meant to own a Renovation Sells franchise.

Allen grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, so he always knew he would one day own his own business. He went to Appalachian State University, where he studied construction management, before working as a project engineer for a construction company.

Then he discovered Renovation Sells*, the nation’s fastest-growing presale home renovation franchise, which helps realtors and homeowners sell their homes for the highest amount possible with easy, cosmetic updates before going to market. Allen launched his Renovation Sells franchise in Charlotte, North Carolina late last year and in his first eight months in business, he has built out an impressive team and completed a number of projects.

As he looks to the future, he’s setting aggressive goals to complete even more projects in year two, hoping to capitalize on the $419 billion renovation industry and the cooling of the real estate market, which renders his company’s services more essential to sellers.

1851 Franchise caught up with Will to discuss his Renovation Sells business, including the challenges he’s faced and milestones he’s achieved in his first eight months in business, as well as his advice for other young entrepreneurs entering the franchising space.
