Paris Baguette is a bakery café brand with more than 4,000 units across the globe. It currently has nearly 90 in the United States, and it now has plans to expand in Canada, starting with the opening of a flagship location in Toronto in 2022.

Paris Baguette’s primary mission, executed every day by its expert staff of bakers, cakers and baristas, is to share moments of joy with customers by providing world-class cakes, pastries, coffees, breads and other bakery café fare. And right now, the brand presents a huge opportunity for entrepreneurs wanting to invest in the café segment, because no one other brands are focused on authentic baked goods. And with an easy-to-manage business model with a proven track record in countries around the world, prospective franchisees can rest assured that they will have a profitable business.

The brand is currently seeking investors to join its growing franchise system in Canada. The total investment is between $659,193 – $1,336,292 USD, plus a $50,000 franchise fee. This initial investment covers everything franchisees would need to get their business up and running, including equipment and fixtures ($165,156 – $208,438), building costs ($322,026 – $750,000) and the POS system ($13,827 – $19,738).

Paris Baguette also offers an area development agreement for those who want to pursue multi-unit ownership, which means a franchisee can open a minimum of four stores. That requires a $20,000 fee for each store the franchisee plans to develop.

“Because the average weekly sales generated by a Paris Baguette bakery café, compared to other franchise concepts, is much higher, this investment is easily worth the cost,” Jack Moran, CEO of Paris Baguette Canada, recently stated.

Additionally, franchisees only need 2,500 square feet to open a Paris Baguette store. Because of this space-efficient store footprint, franchisee stores get more revenue per square foot than larger chains.

“The Paris Baguette corporate team was extremely supportive from beginning to end, all the way from signing to opening,” said Wen Li, a multi-unit owner in Northern California. “They also helped me understand the value of the investment by showing me how Paris Baguette is filling the void of disappearing local bakeries.”
