Buffalo Wings & Rings Continues Building on Strong Momentum with Two Openings This Fall

The brand is officially opening its doors in Lima, Ohio and Franklin, Tennessee.

Few brands can boast growth in annual sales that far outperforms the industry average. But for Buffalo Wings & Rings, the leading club-level sports restaurant franchise, that’s exactly the case.

In the first half of 2016 alone, the brand experienced a 2.9 percent increase in average unit sales. It also saw year-to-date system sales rise 11.4 percent. And now, Buffalo Wings & Rings is adding to that success by opening its doors in two new communities this fall: Lima, Ohio and Franklin, Tennessee.

The brand’s new restaurant in Lima is being spearheaded by one of Buffalo Wings & Rings’ multi-unit franchisees, Todd Fetter. Together with his sons, Fetter continues to grow with the brand because of its proven concept and potential for success. And with 7 locations expected to be open by the time 2016 comes to a close—including this one in Lima—it’s evident that Buffalo Wings & Rings is exceeding all of his expectations.

“I don’t think there can be too much communication between a brand and its franchisees, and it’s clear that Buffalo Wings & Rings agrees. They’ve been so supportive and helpful throughout the entire grand opening process, from site selection and real estate to the weekly conference calls we have set up now with our construction team,” said Fetter. “Buffalo Wings & Rings is truly in a league of its own. Its top quality food and friendly environment sets it apart from every other wing restaurant out there.”

Buffalo Wings & Rings’ new Franklin location—on the other hand—is being developed by one of the brand’s new franchisees. Backed by experience in the sandwich segment of the restaurant franchise industry, Mark Cross decided to diversify his portfolio with a more upscale brand. Buffalo Wings & Rings’ model and commitment to quality were a perfect fit.

“I can’t wait to bring Buffalo Wings & Rings to the Franklin market—there’s so much energy that makes it easy for a new concept like ours to succeed. People here are constantly looking for something new, and there’s no doubt that once they try our wings they’ll be hooked,” said Cross. “The fresh, never frozen food is what made me fall in love with Buffalo Wings & Rings in the first place. The brand goes above and beyond to ensure that its customers are being served the best possible food every time they walk through our doors.”

The new Lima and Franklin locations are part of Buffalo Wings & Rings’ ongoing initiative to strategically expand across the country. After building a strong presence in a specific target area, the 70-unit brand then opens its doors where it knows there’s a heightened level of brand awareness surrounding its business. This exposure ultimately sets its franchisees up for success.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially launch in Lima and Franklin. Both of these cities are perfect development markets for the Buffalo Wings & Rings brand—they’re filled with our ideal consumers who have the potential to become loyal customers,” said Philip Schram, chief development officer for Buffalo Wings & Rings. “Once these restaurants are up and running, we’re confident that they’ll see the same type of success that locations across our entire system are currently experiencing.”
