The home services industry is booming, currently worth over $500 billion in the United States, and is expected to grow to more than $1,219 billion by 2026Happinest Brands, parent franchisor of Lawn Doctor, Mosquito Hunters and ecomaids has set out to centralize these necessary services and stream the operations for franchise owners, and the company has seen great success doing so in the first half of 2022.

Across its three brands, Happinest has signed on 40 new franchisees and has opened 50 locations in 2022 so far, bringing the franchise system to nearly 850 units. The brand is focused on helping new owners of Lawn DoctorMosquito Hunters and ecomaids learn how to capitalize on the growing industry.

Additionally, Happinest Brands saw amazing success regarding customers. The franchise has generated over 100,000 leads and several million dollars in revenue for franchise owners with advertising and the call center scheduling primary service appointments. The franchise’s vendors and internal marketing team, media planners and business intelligence work together to generate leads, and the sales center is staffed with professionals to man the phones. With this support, franchisees can focus their efforts on customer relationships and retention while still generating business.

Happinest also created a benefits program that gives franchisees the opportunity to attract and retain great local talent with incentives - something most small businesses can’t do. The franchisor recently hired Misty Whetung as director of people and culture as part of this initiative for an improved work environment.

Happinest has also embarked on several measures to optimize profitability, including launching a profitability acumen and training series, which has been a big success. The franchisor has also made some improvements and adjustments to how it targets franchise owners' markets to build customer density and, therefore, less drive time for franchisees.

Furthermore, the franchise is striving to be technology-driven and stay attuned to the latest conveniences and tools. Dan Munoz, director of information technology, was recently hired to aid Happinest’s  IT strategy.

All three Happinest Brands companies have migrated to a completely cloud-based system, allowing for better tracking, data management and overall efficiency improvements. This means that Lawn Doctor, Mosquito Hunters and ecomaids businesses can be managed from anywhere, at any time. The brand has also made huge strides in incorporating automation technology, with apps that show routes, directions, and real-time communication.

All of these initiatives are part of Happinest Brands’ large-scheme goal to centralize the home services experience and remove many of the operational burdens from franchise owners. The franchisor will continue working hard behind the scenes to make Lawn Doctor, Mosquito Hunters and ecomaids more efficient as it looks towards growing its footprint in the second half of the year.
