Fast forward to today, their multi-unit system includes 6,500 lawns and brings in around $2.8 million in cash flow annually.“We are in a very mature area, and had the fortunate opportunity that other franchisees around us were selling, so we were able to scoop up those territories and build our brand,” he explained.&nbsp;Mlotkiewicz is proud that he and his wife, who serves as executive vice president, have set up a legacy of success for their family. The brand has afforded them flexibility and work-life balance over the years as they became parents and grandparents.&nbsp;“We were able to start it out of our house. Now Dawn is still very involved, and she can run the office remotely and still help the staff, which we have grown to four full-time employees,” Mlotkiewicz added. “It's allowed her to take a step back and have flexibility with our family while still supporting our business.”Their eldest son also works with the company, and as the couple nears their late fifties, they have begun contemplating the future.“As I'm approaching the big 6-0, we're thinking about the exit plan,” he said. “Our son will end up taking over, which seems common in the industry with Lawn Doctor, for the business to be passed on generationally.
