MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is looking to bring its first location to Mississippi this year, specifically in Tupelo, and the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal spoke with COO Michael Mabry about the better burger brand and their expansion plans.
The article mentions the geography and the family-centric nature of Tupelo as reasons the brand is targeting the area.
Said Mabry, “We feel Mississippi as a whole is a good point for us. Tupelo has a draw from multiple cities around it … we feel that with that type of draw makes it a destination, and that’s where we perform best. We also perform extremely well where there are families, and the family size in Tupelo is about three, which is good for us. In the majority of the franchisees in Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee, they’re mainly family businesses. They’re great family driven communities and we feel like in Mississippi we can find the right franchisee and the right families to help us grow.”
The story also discusses the opportunity that exists in the market for franchisee partners, laying out some of the requirements for those interested.
Said Mabry, “We just think the market and where it sits that there’s opportunity for us.”
