Cnythia Landrum brings 13 years of education experience to Sylvan Learning
Cynthia Landrum has a master’s in educational administration and worked for 13 years as a classroom teacher and library media specialist before deciding to open her first Sylvan Learning Center in 2009.
Although Landrum had an extensive background in education, she had never run a business. Therefore, she felt that joining a franchise system with a strong corporate team and franchise support system would help her make the transition to business ownership.
“Honestly, I wanted to be able to help kids without the constraints of the public education bureaucracy. Sylvan allows for a personalized learning program that meets students’ immediate needs and helps them reach their full potential,” said Landrum.
Landrum loved Sylvan Learning's reputation and has grown her business to three locations with plans to continue developing with the brand.
