With distance learning and online instruction becoming more the norm for Killeen’s students, Sylvan Learning franchisee Chris Pittner has signed on to provide to-of-the-line tutoring services that help children make up for what might have been missed since the start of COVID-19.

In an interview with the Killeen Daily Herald, Pittner spells out exactly how Sylvan Learning plans to help students catch up in any subject area that was missed or is a particular source of struggle, reiterating the problem that the pandemic has presented to both students and schools.

“COVID has had a massive impact on students, and where they should be academically, that’s for sure,” he told the Killeen Daily Herald. “We have noticed that students are further behind than they typically are. It might be something simple, but at the same time, we do know that schools are overwhelmed right now because they’ve had to change so much, and teachers are working very hard. Some help from a tutoring company such as Sylvan is a very good resource.”
