Hello Georgetown: Second Sylvan Learning Coming to Georgetown
Georgetown Sylvan Learning franchise owners Jong and Young Kim discuss their expansion of virtual services as they searches for a second physical location.
Students in the Georgetown area will now have a new place to go for supplemental learning. This will be the second center opened by Jong and Young Kim, franchise owners of Sylvan Learning in Georgetown. The couple’s previous careers were in IT and the day care industry, and the parent’s first center is in Lakeway, Texas.
While the second location is still in the works, some services can be accessed virtually or by traveling to the sister location.
“We can deliver tutoring and most of the services virtually,” said Jong. “There are a few things that we just cannot do virtually, but for the most part we’ll be able to deliver assistance. We still have a sister center in Lakeway if the customer is willing to come down for assessments or certain things, they’re more than welcome to come down to the Lakeway center.”
Jong said he hopes to narrow down a final Georgetown location by the end of April.
