Hunters Creek, Doctor Phillips and Oviedo will soon be home to new Sylvan Learning Center locations as the brand has plans to expand to up to 12 total in the area according to the Orlando Business Journal.
“Sylvan’s Orlando development has been driven by market demand,” said Georgia Chasen, Sylvan Learning vice president of franchise development. “Although we’ve had several strong, longterm operators in the greater Orlando market for years, more recently we’ve attracted the next generation of Sylvan entrepreneurs to the area, one of whom already has become a multi-unit owner through new territory development.”
Franchises have flocked to the Orlando area for many years as a center for growth and business opportunity. There are presently over 44 Sylvan franchises in Florida alone, with more than 800 locations worldwide. “"It’s amazing that all this growth is happening in the area, which brings more people and creates a need for more businesses,” said Linda Belford, FranNet consultant for Greater Orlando.
Orlando’s job creation rate currently ranks No. 1 among all cities at 3.6%.
