Family receives a helping hand from the leading education franchise
Ricky Long, a Coralville native recently was awarded the Leah Mauer Scholarship from Sylvan Learning.
In an interview with The Gazette, Sylvan Learning Regional Director Emily Smith explained, “We chose Rickey because his mom came in in January wanting and needing help for him, and from a financial perspective, she tried everything. We saw a need, desire and want from his mom.”
