Quad-City Times: Davenport TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Collects Record Number of Items for Local Women's Shelter

The brand made the donations as a part of its annual Movers for Moms campaign.

The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Davenport made their final donation drop-off to a local shelter, Winnie's Place, last week collecting a record 4,314 items for the charity through their Movers for Moms drive this year. The organization helps more than 200 area women and children - often victims of domestic violence or homeless - by providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support. Many of the donated household items from the drive will help women as they transition out of the shelter into housing.

"We try to set them up with some of the things they will need,'' Winnie's Place manager Kit Miller told the Quad-City Times, adding "Setting up a household is very expensive."
