Consumer Reports: Make Your Next Move More Sustainable
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launch an electrical moving truck to their fleet.

Moving families are taking a toll on the environment — gas-powered moving trucks generate greenhouse gasses, while leftover boxes and possessions pile up in the landfill. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the largest franchise moving company in the country with 390-plus locations and 3000-plus trucks, is now taking the initiative to go green.
Partnering with Clean Fuels Ohio, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is providing a test market for an electric vehicle in the industry. Through this partnership, they were able to convert a truck that would normally have been retired or sold into a zero-emissions truck and potentially save fuel and maintenance costs down the road.
“We’re excited about being a pioneer in the electric truck world to see if it works in our industry,” said Justin Clarey, owner of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in Columbus. “So far, so good. We have found a sweet spot of about 100–110 miles a day out of a full charge, depending on the load.”
Clarey’s team also cuts down on the number of abandoned belongings going to landfills by donating any usable furniture or other items left behind to families in need.
