The U.S. economy is healthy. That's the message from the recently released February jobs report, which the Associated Press reported showed 242,000 jobs created during the month while unemployment stayed at 4.9 percent.

The report was good news amidst doubts of a positive February, with a slumping manufacturing sector, stock dips, and a rising dollar adding to anxiety among those in the financial industry.

"Neither global headwinds, financial turbulence nor political uncertainty has dimmed American business' enthusiasm for hiring," Sal Guatieri, an economist at BMO Capital Markets, told the AP. "The solid jobs report should allay recession fears."

Retailers and restaurants, two big areas of the resilient franchise industry, helped drive the hiring numbers. Rapidly growing moving franchise, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, is one of the companies that is helping put Americans to work. The brand launched their Career Move Month initiative to hire 1,000 workers across the country. "Really, the only thing that holds us back from growth is not having enough employees," Sara Bennett, human resources director for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, told the Associated Press.
