Cincinnati Business Courier: Buffalo Wings & Rings Announces European Expansion Plans
Cincinnati-based Buffalo Wings & Rings is planning first-ever locations in London and Poland.
Cincinnati’s own Buffalo Wings & Rings is already a hit in the Middle East. Due to its success overseas, the brand has decided to expand into Europe for the first time.
The brand will arrive in London with plans to open ten locations over the next decade, as well as five locations in Warsaw, Poland in the next five years. Buffalo Wings & Rings President & CEO Nader Masadeh felt that the elevated sports restaurant was the perfect fit for Europe.
“Europeans love their sports and their country teams, and we thought it’d be a natural fit to expand there and shift the culture a little bit,” Masadeh told the Cincinnati Business Courier. “Europeans love to watch sports at home, like in the Middle East, not at restaurants, so we’re creating something new.”
The home base flagship locations for the rest of Europe will be respectively in Convent Garden in London and Warsaw. The third quarter should bring the opening of the Warsaw location, and fourth quarter should bring the London opening.
The restaurant design will remain unchanged for the most part, but the menu itself will be slightly altered to fit the culture, such as adding more pork-based options in Poland locations as this is the main protein eaten there.
