blogTO: Canada’s First Paris Baguette Opens in Toronto and Here’s What It Looks Like
The global bakery café concept has opened its first Canadian location.
Paris Baguette, the over-4,000-unit bakery café concept, has opened its first Canadian bakery café location in Yonge Sheppard Centre, an indoor shopping mall in Toronto.
“This market entrance marks the beginning of an aggressive series of Canadian openings by the rapidly expanding brand,” Renee Suen wrote for blogTO. “Of the rumored six other locations slated for the Canadian market, Canada’s District Food and Beverage Manager Christopher Waye shares the next will include a location at 110 Bloor St. W.”
The new store has a 2,300-square-foot footprint, high ceilings, glass-covered pastry cases and French architecture. Near the register, guests can select signature cakes out of a refrigerated display case, order specialty-brewed drinks and select pre-made salads and sandwiches.
With 20 first-come, first-served seats, the new location allows guests to either dine in or carry out.
“This location is open Monday through Sunday, from 7 am to 9 p.m., but avoid the disappointment of empty shelves and head in earlier in the day,” Suen added. “Waye shares that there’s a certain volume of goodies made each day, and when it runs out, it’s out.”
