Now, the retailer is committed to expanding in the Midwest and believes the Windy City will bridge the gap between coasts.

&ldquo;Aside from it being one of the largest metropolitan cities in the U.S., we believe that Chicago has customers that are looking for our unique Danish furniture designs,&rdquo; said Brian Hedelund Nielsen, Global Business Development Director for BoConcept.

Growing interior design trends like the addition of modern metallics and velvet textures create a cozy yet stylish vibe that BoConcept has mastered over the years. Now, many high-end furniture designers are struggling to keep up.

&ldquo;Chicago is slated to become one of the world&rsquo;s leading luxury fashion capitals by 2025,&rdquo; noted Hedelund Nielsen. &ldquo;BoConcept will continue to be at the cutting edge of luxury furniture design and will do well in Chicago. We have found success in other cities that place fashion as a priority and expect the same results in the Midwestern city.&rdquo;

Based on the sheer size of the territory, BoConcept aims to open three to four stores throughout the Chicagoland area. Ideally, the brand&rsquo;s first locations would be in River North and Lincoln Park with outward expansion into wealthier suburbs like Northbrook and Naperville. In order to do so, the brand is currently seeking the right partner to spearhead this development.

&ldquo;Since this will be the first location in a new and important market, we want to make sure we have the right franchisee to grow the brand,&rdquo; said Hedelund Nielsen. &ldquo;At BoConcept, we look for people with high-level management skills, self-motivation, a good sales personality and a strong passion for business development.&rdquo;
