BoConcept’s Fall Collection Made for Top 2024 Design Trends
Many of 2024’s hottest trends, which focus on creating a welcoming, comforting home, are present in the brand’s AW23 collection.
2024 will be here before we know it, and BoConcept, the contemporary Danish furniture franchise with over 300 franchise locations in 65 countries, has already prepared for next year’s trends. With its AW23 launch, the brand is doling out comforting shapes and textures while remaining true to its Danish simplicity and timeless design. With the fall launch, consumers will be able to get their hands on furniture and accessories that blend perfectly with 2024’s hottest projected trends.
“There are two major directions that are setting the scene for the upcoming season,” explained Kalina Todorova, visual merchandising manager at BoConcept. “I think it’s all affected by what’s going on around us in life and the world. When it comes to interior design, we see that consumers are looking to create very comforting spaces. The home is their escape and their place where they can find balance and disconnect from the craziness outside. Everything is tailored around a sensorial experience — curved shapes, soft edges, soft materials and tactile materials. Designs are also very nature-inspired, as well.”
As a nod to nature indoors, many fixtures are incorporating natural products like Forest Stewardship Council certified wood, marble, granite, limestone and ceramic.
Todorova also noted that as many consumers are becoming increasingly aware of sustainability trends, there is a push to buy higher-quality, safely made products. Rather than buying less, consumers are buying better. To address this need, BoConcept is launching a new line of chenille-like fabric that is tested for harmful chemicals and made to engage the senses while encouraging comfort.
“As always, functionality remains a priority,” said Todorova. “We prioritize modular products, especially for consumers living in bigger cities. Our products allow consumers to create a space that is tailored and personalized to reflect their personality, lifestyle and so on.”
How the AW23 Collection Embodies 2024 Design Trends
BoConcept works hand in hand with Worth Global Style Network and a range of designers and suppliers to identify feedback that can inform future designs. After collecting this information from a range of sources, the designers look at how new trends might fit in with what is relevant to BoConcept consumers and their lifestyles. From here, they collectively produce tailored versions of the upcoming trends.
The Salamanca sofa and Santiago dining and coffee tables are prime examples of how BoConcept is embracing next year’s trends.
“The Salamanca sofa line is a modular sofa available in different sizes and all different fabrics,” said Todorova. “The highlight of the Salamanca sofa is that it fits really well with the focus on creating comfortable spaces. The design of the sofa is very organic with the armrests and shape of the sofa. It’s one of the most comfortable sofas that we have, so it’s great for the living room as well as other entertaining or family rooms.”
The Salamanca sofa line is available in the newly launched fabric, which is OEKO-TEX certified.
The Santiago dining and coffee tables embrace natural materials and welcoming shapes and are available in a range of sizes.
“This line is very true to our DNA,” added Todorova. “We’re working with brown and white marble ceramic — all great looks for autumn and winter. These speak to that connection with nature, bringing lasting materials into the home, but they’re also very sculptural.”
The dining table sits atop two large, cylindrical legs and comes in two sizes, comfortably seating six to 12 people. As the design carries into the living room, two different, “very soothing” tabletop options are available: both round and oval.
“Of course, there are always updates to current collections that we have,” said Todorova. “In the past few years, we’ve been focused on not expanding the collection to be bigger so much as we’re focusing on improving current products with different materials that focus on nature, sustainability and so on. But of course, there are even more designs and new, exciting things that will be available in our stores and online in September!”
