New York Post: Decades Of Hot Dog Making Experience Gives Checkers & Rally's An Edge In Wiener War

The brand is reminding the public it launched hot dogs 30 years ago and offers them at half the price of Burger King's.

The Wiener War wages on as Checkers & Rally's has challenged Burger King's latest hot dog menu addition with their own 30 year menu staple, according to the New York Post.

While hot dogs aren't seeing a resurgence in popularity, Checkers & Rally's is happy for the opportunity to promote their delicious dogs.

“If Burger King is going to spend millions to launch hot dogs, we are going to ride on their advertising coattails,” said Terri Snyder, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Checkers & Rally's, a 30-year-old franchise with 55 stores in the New York metro area. “We see this is an opportunity to put our hot dogs back on the map.”

With Checkers & Rally's more affordable wiener options, Snyder is confident this is a war they will win.
