The Front Royal spot was a location that has been closed for four years, and is now re opening. <a href="http://checkers.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=northern-virginia-daily-new-and-improved-checkers-franchise-model-sees-success-in-virginia-3326" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Checkers</a> Director of Franchise Development John Palumbo discussed the ways that the brand&#8217;s model has changed overtime through experience.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;We are a 30-year old brand and you have growing pains as you go along,&#8221; Palumbo told <a href="http://www.nvdaily.com/news/2015/12/checkers-opens-restaurants-in-area/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=northern-virginia-daily-new-and-improved-checkers-franchise-model-sees-success-in-virginia-3326" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Northern Virginia Daily</a>, highlighting their updated hours, open until 11 p.m. and even 3 a.m. at some locations.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Franchisee for the Winchester location Malik Mehboob is excited about the potential it possesses, with the ability to seat more than 70 people.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;In winter especially, people will want to eat something inside and that is why our stores are doing well,&#8221; Mehboob said.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Mehboob said that the location is already exceeding expectations, and Palumbo has high hopes for the other 40-50 locations they expect to open throughout 2016.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;When we open a store, we don&#8217;t do it blindly and we don&#8217;t want to cannibalize sales,&#8221; Palumbo said &#8220;We believe in responsible growth.
