With 21 territories added across 13 deals and the successful debut of its first showroom in Peachtree City, Georgia,&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/footprintsfloors/info">Footprints Floors</a> demonstrated its commitment to innovation and sustainable growth.&nbsp;“The biggest thing that happened this year was really a 10-month project. Footprints Floors has traditionally eschewed the showroom as a part of its business model, but&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthew-therriault-295b96199/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=footprints-floors-reflects-on-a-landmark-year-sees-10-increase-in-revenue-2728295" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Matt Therriault</a> — who owns the Peachtree City location — pitched the idea as a way to stay true to the Footprints Floors model while adding a new dimension to the business.&nbsp;“It’s very much an experiment for us to see what kind of traction he’s able to get in his local market,”&nbsp; said Park. “If it’s successful, it’s something we’d be interested in rolling out in additional markets across the country.”Also noteworthy in 2024 was the success of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/justin-cowley/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=footprints-floors-reflects-on-a-landmark-year-sees-10-increase-in-revenue-2728295" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Justin Cowley</a>, a franchisee in&nbsp;<a href="https://footprintsfloors.com/salt-lake-city?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=footprints-floors-reflects-on-a-landmark-year-sees-10-increase-in-revenue-2728295" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Salt Lake City</a> who broke multiple records, including the best rookie month and highest revenue year within just seven months of operation. “He was building surgery centers before joining us,” said Vice President of Operations&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/footprintsfloors/footprints-floors-new-vice-president-of-operations-is-focused-on-innovative-growth-and-modernization-2726794#stories">Taylor Murphy</a>. “They were constructing and licensing out surgery centers across Utah and then pivoted to the flooring space. He’s done a phenomenal job.”Footprints Floors also introduced several new steering committees in 2024, focusing on mentorship, technology investments, marketing and planning for its annual convention. These committees are part of Park’s leadership strategy of decentralizing power making sure franchisees have a voice in the decision-making process. “A major part of my philosophy on being a CEO and a franchisor is to diversify power and diversify thought,” Park said. “We’re inviting people in to make decisions with us, tell us what’s the best way to do this or do that, and get their buy-in. They help create what the system’s going to look like long-term.”&nbsp;“We launched one steering committee that oversees technology investments at the corporate level and what we’re investing from a tech perspective for the franchise system,” Murphy added. “We also launched a mentorship steering committee. We broke it down into regional mentors and assigned individuals, mostly volunteers, to run these local regional mentorship committees. It’s really to give franchises a regional option to ask questions and work through issues with technical knowledge and franchise knowledge in a smaller setting. It’s been fantastic to see the participation and how much franchises appreciate having a voice.”Looking ahead to 2025, Footprints Floors plans to maintain its focus on sustainable growth by adding 15 deals and 20-25 territories. The company’s ambitious goal is to reach 100 active franchises by Q3 2025, a milestone that will place it among an elite group of franchisors. “Our focus is to grow well and smart and bring in the right people,” Park said. “These are people’s livelihoods. They’ve been saving up for their whole working career to move into buying a business and being an entrepreneur. We’re not going to take that lightly.
