The Restaurant Innovator: Bringing a French Fine-Dining Approach to Fast-Casual Franchising, Ft. Chef Grégoire Jacquet
Grégoire Jacquet, founder of the restaurant brand Grégoire, decided to franchise his business after recognizing the potential to introduce the brand to a wider audience.
Grégoire, the French-inspired restaurant franchise based out of Berkeley, California, was recently featured on “The Restaurant Innovator” podcast where the brand shed new light on its franchising journey.
Grégoire Jacquet, the brand’s founder and CEO, sat down with FSR Magazine editors Callie Evergreen and Sam Danley, where he discussed his journey into the culinary world and revealed why he decided to start franchising. Jacquet said initially he wanted nothing to do with the franchising space, but that was simply because he didn’t understand it. He wanted to grow Grégoire on his own, but after conducting ample research, he quickly realized that franchising was the best way of doing so.
“I began to understand that franchising was all about putting systems together,” said Jacquet.
Grégoire celebrated its 21st anniversary in 2023, and also saw a year of strategic growth, new innovative advancements and community engagement. The brand is actively offering new franchise opportunities throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
