Stratus Clean is one of North America's largest commercial cleaning franchise systems, and it offers something most cleaning franchises don't: an executive-level Master Franchise model where you never do the cleaning yourself.

As a Stratus Clean Master Franchisee, you hold exclusive rights to a protected territory. You secure commercial cleaning contracts with offices, medical facilities, schools, retail centers and industrial sites, then award Unit Franchises and assign those contracts to the Unit Franchisees who perform the work. Your role is sales, recruiting, coaching and territory management, on a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

The model is built for durable income. Roughly 90% of revenue comes from recurring commercial contracts, and Master Franchisees can earn from nine distinct revenue streams, including royalties, unit franchise sales, national accounts and product sales. Commercial cleaning is a $100 billion-plus essential service, so demand holds up when the economy slows.

Today Stratus Clean supports 97 Master Franchise territories and more than 5,200 Unit Franchisees across the U.S. and Canada, with 2025 system-wide sales of about $238 million and an average unit volume of $3.4 million for franchised regions. The brand uses proprietary, Green Seal-certified cleaning products and its StratusConnect technology platform for operations and quality control. In April 2026 the company rebranded from Stratus Building Solutions to Stratus Clean, and it posted double-digit sales growth and five new master territories in the first half of the year.
