Twenty years ago, Guy and Julia Falzarano opened the first<a href="http://lightbridgeacademy.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=my-central-jersey-middlesex-county-based-lightbridge-academy-experiences-franchise-success-2705510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> Lightbridge Academy</a> in Woodbridge Township.&nbsp;

&ldquo;There are now 30 centers which have served over 5,000 families,&rdquo; <a href="http://lightbridgeacademyfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=my-central-jersey-middlesex-county-based-lightbridge-academy-experiences-franchise-success-2705510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Lightbridge Academy</a> President &amp; COO&nbsp;Gigi&nbsp;Schweikert told the reporter. &ldquo;Lightbridge Academy comes from humble roots and the company is scaling to 100 centers, but the humbleness and core values remain intact.&rdquo;

The franchise is planning to open a new location in Fanwood next month with an Edison center following in the summer. The brand is growing within Somerset, Hunterdon and Middlesex counties due to the demographics within the area.&nbsp;

&ldquo;And, where there is growth there are jobs,&rdquo; she told the reporter. &ldquo;Also, parents who live in those counties match with the demographics and psychographics for our customers. We tend to cater to dual income families, who value their children&rsquo;s education.&rdquo;

Schweikert believes Lightbridge offers students advantages because of the planned curriculums, trained staff and technology offerings.&nbsp; 
&ldquo;Lightbridge Academy is different because we don&rsquo;t just look at academic excellence. Lightbridge focuses on educating the whole child. The curriculum is designed to education children to be well rounded,&rdquo; Schweikert told the reporter.

Lightbridge Academy strives to keep up with the times. 
&ldquo;We have a great deal of technology in our centers. That technology brings families closer together, literally,&rdquo; she continued. &ldquo;Many centers have an open-door policy, but Lightbridge Academy has a virtual open-door policy. ParentView&reg; Cameras are installed in the classroom and parents are able watch their child learn from a remote location,&rdquo; Schweikert&nbsp;told the reporter.&nbsp;

The franchise has grown immensely within the past six years.&nbsp;

&ldquo;We have a refined method and process which has developed through our experience these past 20 years,&rdquo; she told the reporter.

The staff is a major component to the academy&#39;s success.

&ldquo;All teachers must have a certification in early childhood education, a childcare degree or meet New Jersey standards,&rdquo; Schweikert explained to the reporter. &ldquo;They must meet core values and enjoy being around children. Personality is a huge part of who we hire. We look for creative people who have great conversational skills and are very loyal. We tend to say that when you join Lightbridge, you become a part of the family.&rdquo;

Additionally, the locations are state of the art.&nbsp;

&ldquo;When you walk into a Lightbridge Academy, you feel you&rsquo;re walking into a home,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;We design the facilities with wood floors and use colors you would use in the home with accent walls and comfortable fabric. The reason we do this is because we believe that children are spending their childhood with us and want facility to be warm and inviting,&quot; Schweikert explained to the reporter.

One of the main goals of Lightbridge is to provide an safe and&nbsp;secure&nbsp;place for students to learn.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Each center has only three entrances with a biometric finger scanner at the entrances. The faculty inside is very conscientious are all first aid and CPR certified,&rdquo; she explained to the reporter.
