The Daily Targum: How Lightbridge Academy is Helping Its Community During These Times

Lightbridge Academy garners over 60,000 views in first three weeks of Facebook Live sessions.

With most schools closed across the country, it has been difficult for parents to adjust to their children learning from home, especially those in preschool and kindergarten.

According to an article in The Daily Targum, Lightbridge Academy, an early education and child care franchise serving children ages six weeks through kindergarten, has started daily livestreams on its corporate Facebook page featuring their regular programs such as morning circle time, at-home projects, yoga and dancing to silly songs. Jennifer Romanoff, vice president of education and training, hosts three live sessions every weekday.

“We wanted to step in and give them something not only to engage in, but something that keeps their children learning, something that is fun,” Romanoff said. “Something that is thematically based, which is what all of our children are used to, and something that gives parents just a little bit of breathe time or a break in a day.”

With families from its 100-plus locations throughout the North East and New Jersey tuning in, Lightbridge Academy has garnered more than 60,000 views since first starting these Facebook Live sessions three weeks ago.
