Glenn was the third American in space and the first American to orbit the Earth, having circled the planet three times in 1962. Chea is hosting a “Parent’s Night Out” event during Space Day, where parents can take some time off for themselves, while their children learn about space.At Chea’s event, children will have the opportunity to build and control a Lego robotic rover through an obstacle course and create art projects to learn the difference between gas giants and rocky planets. There will also be a telescope available so children can observe the moon and stars for themselves.“Our events present a great opportunity for children to learn about space through a hands-on curriculum,” said Chea. “Children have such an innate curiosity about our world, and especially space.
