The U.S. beauty industry performed exceptionally well in 2023 and is primed for continued growth. According to Circanna, the beauty industry sales grew by 14% year-over-year, and the expansion is occurring across various segments, ranging from beauty to skincare to hair.

Interestingly, hair was the only beauty category to capture more of its sales online, with e-commerce accounting for 52% of the volume.

The positive outlook for the beauty industry bodes well for business owners within the segment. However, while makeup and skincare brands include industry giants and fierce competition, children’s hair care is still an emerging concept.
